A total of mobile applications from around the world, including five Spanish apps, will compete on February 24 to be chosen as the Best App of the year at the Mobile Premier Awards, considered the benchmark awards in the Australia Mobile Database applications sector and that take place in Barcelona coinciding with the first day of the Mobile World Congress.
In addition to the award for the best app, the Best App Award, the Mobile Premier Awards will distinguish with the Best Audience Award the app most voted by the public and the Big Impact Award will be given to the application that has the greatest impact on the life of people.
The finalist applications have been selected by an international jury from among all those that won the different editions of the latest AppCircus tour and online challenges, the world’s largest mobile application traveling contest created by the Spanish start-up dotopen.
Specifically, the finalist Spanish applications are Andara , created for iOS devices and aimed at managing the performance of small and medium-sized companies; Social Diabetes , an Android app that helps people with diabetes manage their disease in real time; Samplr , an app for iOS that allows you to create music and play with sound; WaiterApp , developed on Android, iOS and HTML5 and that makes it possible to order and pay in restaurants and bars directly from your mobile, and Splyce , an app for iOS that selects music from mobile devices and mixes it automatically.
Outside our borders
The rest of the finalists are Sparkvue , an educational app for Android and iOS designed for science learning; Kinderkribbe , which allows you to quickly share all children’s activities with their parents with Android, iOS and HTML5 devices; Moovit , a crowdsourcing app for public transportation available on Android and iOS; CityShopper , an app for iOS that allows users to personalize their shopping experience; Paganza , which allows you to scan the barcodes of the invoices to pay them directly from the iOS or Android mobile device, and mSchool , an app to send SMS messages to monitor school learning conditions.
Blindoo , an application on Android, iOS and Windows Phone that once synchronized with the glasses, scans the text or the image and transforms it into speech; iSignIT-app , aimed at people with hearing problems to help their communication with medical personnel; Nott Won’t to sleep , an interactive story for iOS that supports bedtime rituals in young children; My Meetings , an app for Windows 8 that helps to manage work meetings easily and efficiently, and Fetch – Apps You’ll Love , an Android app that allows you to get the latest Google Play apps adapted to the user’s taste.
They complete the list Stylez App , which allows you to define the hairstyle and thus improve communication with the hairdresser; HASH , a private messaging app for Android and iOS that allows you to send messages that will self-destruct in 7 seconds; Taarifa , an HTML5 and SMS support platform for geographically based citizen interaction around public services for less developed countries; Jaqard , an app for iOS focused on styling that allows you to make and receive advice on fashion, and Axel’s Chain Reaction , an app for iOS that enhances the integration of children with special needs.
