Executive Email Lists Building Technique That Brings You The Money

In the world of Internet Marketing it is said that “The money is in the list.” This is as true today as it was yesterday. Building your email list is the best way to create your lead generation system. It is not easy, nor is it fast. If you’re looking for something quick and easy, then email list building is not for you.

If you’re looking for a pool of prospects with whom you can develop a relationship, then email list building is ideal. There are some people who think they can go the easy way in this process. Maybe because they’re not well-informed. Some businesses buy email lists right off the Internet by Googling the keyword. Yes, you are promised a list of ten to hundred thousand names for a very cheap price. You think that there is a number of prospects who will bite.

This strategy is the wrong way to start your Email list building. Please, don’t go into this road. What you will find is disappointments, frustrations, and very few if any conversions. The problem is that your executive email lists is unqualified and therefore, a disaster. You don’t want just names and email addresses. You need prospects who actually want or need your products or services.

Buying a list is spearheading in the wrong direction. What you need to do, is to build your own list. Obviously, you need a website. You’ll be surprised of the number of businesses who want to have a list of prospects but don’t even have a site. Next, you’ll need a squeeze page or also known as an opt-in page. On my own website I have covered this subject in a post.

The purpose of your squeeze page is to capture the name and addresses of prospects who are interested in what you are offering. Many people believe that all they need is a lot of traffic. Obviously you need people coming to your site, but it’s not the most important thing. You need them to give you their name and email addresses. That’s your first conversion. You have changed a prospect into a lead.

Even if you have few visitors, but they all give you their information, that is far more important than having a massive amount of visitors. The accumulation of those email addresses becomes your list. Having it will allow you to communicate with your leads. One way to do that, is through email.

Once upon a time all you needed to do was to ask people for their email addresses and they would give it to you. But not now. People, business executives receive so many emails, most of them being spam, that they are reluctant to give away that information. So you need to motivate your prospect by offering them something of value, like a special report. This is an incentive sign up that is a free downloadable mini eBook, usually in PDF format.

Once you receive their addresses, you can follow up with emails. You can write an email that has an enticing subject line that would bring your lead to click on it, otherwise known as opening your email. Next, you need to give them a compelling reason to go to a landing page that would introduce your product or service.

In the language of internet marketing this is your open rate followed by your click-through rate. Your landing page is your sales page. This is the most important document in your site. Some people call it “The money page.” Your landing page can either be a short or long letter, but it must convince your reader to click on the action button at the end of the page.
