Google wants to smoke the pipe of peace with Huawei (with whom it actually went to war in a forced way and at the request of the United States Government). Since the United States placed Huawei on its particular blacklist in mid-2019, the Asian manufacturer must give up “made by Google” applications such as Gmail and Maps in its new smartphone models.
For example, the new Mate Xs is completely devoid of Google apps. In many of its new batch devices, the Chinese brand has lost access to the Google Play Store application store and has been forced to stock up on its own infrastructure.

Huawei has its own application store (App Gallery), but this platform currently has serious deficiencies (at least for users based in Europe).

That the United States will comply with Google’s request is highly unlikely for now. After all, the White House has recently toughened up its policy against Huawei (which it wants to exclude at all costs from the construction of 5G networks).
